As most of you know, GC games are getting more and more popular these days. During Math lecture yetsrday, Jie ying sent the Bubble Bobble game to me and Kai yih. I hardly listened to the lecture, since I had already learnt it during PAE. Then Jie ying received the Super Mario game from another of her friends. Some people got overly excited about their games and had their GCs confiscated.

Then during the break after that, some of the guys from my class came up to me and asked if I could send them the game. They apparently saw the three of us linking GCs and sending and receiving games from each other. And they were getting so hyped up about it. They (including me) had to delete our Puzzle Pack game to make room for the new one, though. But the puzzles were boring, so I guess none of us minded.

Then during lunch, we found out that Penny had a Dodgeball game on hers. The sad thing about GCs, though, is that there isn't sufficient space for all the games. Take for instance the Super Mario game. Jie ying had to delete all her other applications in order to make room for it. File's too big. So you cannot have two games at once without deleting any other application. So for now, all I have is Bubble Bobble. But that's fine with me. I heard others have been getting viruses of some sort in their GCs, because of all the sending and receiving. Jie ying's GC kept on hanging. So finally the Mario game self-destructed. Sad. We made a joke of how they shouldn't be called Graphing Calculators but Gaming Calculators instead. Haha.

GC games are taking over! Everyone seems to be remembering what it was like to be a kid again. Was it so long ago when we last touched our GameBoys and feverishly worked our thumbs into a cramp trying to beat Bowser or The Elite Four? Hahaha. Yes, I know about all these things. We've all been through this stage. But fact is, we all haven't completely graduated from it either. We're still the kids we used to be, no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves that as time changes, so do we. Sure, life isn't what it was like back then- carefree and happy-go-lucky. We have added responsibilities. Duties. Life gets tougher and tougher. But in the end, it all boils down to the fact that there remains fragments of the life we once led, the people we were. We're not totally different, yet somewhat altered on the outside. And once in a while, it never hurts to revisit the nostalgic days of our youth by digging up, dusting and switching on our GameBoys just one more time.
