School officially ended last Wednesday for me; from now on I shall leave behind all thoughts of school 'till of course my undone timetable for next sem bids me otherwise. (:
On my first day of liberty (Thursday), I met up with Karen. First we got off at Raffles Place MRT and walked to Ya Kun Kaya Toast in Far East Central. It's different from the other usual ones in that it has a very "olden days" ambience. And I thought the kaya toast tasted real nice! Thanks Karen for the treat! :D
We snaked our way through the CBD back to the MRT. Everywhere we turned we found buildings. Amazing how people can actually work there everyday without suffocating. Sure, the buildings' facades took on mighty impressive countenances. Very nice, actually. But also very cramped. :P
This was taken at UOB:

We took the MRT to Orchard and literally went mall-hopping. The main intent of the day was for Karen to buy some clothing for her US trip. Our first stop was at Wisma. Then we headed to Ion. Then walked to the new mall, 313. It had its grand opening, so there was a mob of people. And most of the crowd was concentrated at Uniqlo. The queue to go in was seriously long. D:
On the way to 313 we spotted a Luis Vuitton bag of epic proportions outside Takashimaya. Check it out:

1) Compare the human size : bag size ratio
2) Me
3) Karen
We also spotted humongous Ferrero Rocher chocolates, made into a Christmas tree:

Anyway, back to 313. We headed to the top floor to rest our tired legs and eat. We talked about lots of things while we ate. :D
After spending an inordinate amount of time just sitting there, we finally got up and remembered to buy Si Yuan's present. We walked to Orchard Central then to Centrepoint then back to Takashimaya and finally settled on a blush-on palette for her. Guess who we saw at Taka? Hi-5! Haha. The kiddies were so cute dancing along. :P
Although tiring, I had fun and enjoyed Karen's company. Thanks for the date Karen! (:
